This book starts so in medias res that not even the main character knows whats happening. From there it wriggles around, twisting the reader into delicious knots. I won’t say much more – you’ll just have to read it. I will say, Sarah does an excellent job of making numerous explanations seem equally plausible. The characters are written very well, distinct but not unnecessarily quirky, and most importantly, believable. This is a story where the strength stems from believability. My only feedback was that there were one or two moments where characters made decisions that I felt didn’t make sense, or didn’t react in believable ways. It was never major enough to disrupt my reading or enjoyment, but I try to pay extra close attention for the Reviewstack.
This is an excellent twisting narrative that does a marvelous job of leading the reader in just the right way, an extremely difficult job. As always, if you want more specific feedback or thoughts or whatever just message me — that goes for any author I’ve read.
