From “The End” to the hands of readers

From “The End” to the hands of readers

You finally, dramatically I might add, type the glorious two words that you thought you’d never get to at the end of your draft, “The End.” You bask in that amazing feeling, leaning back in your chair, relishing in the feeling of closing that chapter, that final chapter of your book. Until it hits you, how am I going to get this into the hands of readers?

Often, the last thing you want to think about after pouring your heart and soul into that draft is how to market it. But unfortunately, the book isn’t going to market itself. Fortunately, you have me to help walk you through the challenging world of book marketing.

I’ll admit, I’m learning along with you as we dive into the strategies and tactics of how to market our books and find our ideal readers.

But before getting into all of that, I urge you to ask yourself these questions

  • How do you want to show up for your books?
  • What does marketing look like to you?
  • What platforms/social media apps are you willing to learn?
  • How much time are you willing to spend each week on marketing?

It is crucial to be consistent in marketing your book, so you keep readers engaged and curious to see what you have up your sleeve next. I suggest that you start carving out a day to create/ideate your content as well as a plan on the marketing strategies you’d like to implement, similar to how you might’ve created a writing schedule to complete your story.

For me, I’m making Mondays my “Marketing Mondays” and I hope you join along with me in this adventure! Till next time!
