Come one! Come all! October 1 – October 7
I know you’ve got a story somewhere locked inside that you want to share with the world. Why not share it here! We’re not looking for novels or even short stories. Here are MicroZine we want the best 6-word, 50-word, 100-word story you’ve got to offer!
Heck, we’ll accept any story as long as it’s UNDER 500 words! That’s our cap and we aim to please so don’t make us reject your story over a one word technicality!
We double dog dare ya to write a microfiction story and share it with us TODAY!
But don’t wait too long. The submissions window is only open for 7 days. On August 7th at 9pm EST the window closes and won’t open again till September!
But what’s so cool about submitting to MicroZine (Digital Edition), I hear you asking…
Well, it’s simple, the cool part isn’t sharing your work to an even wider audience, which happens here and I admit is totally 100% cool. But we got cooler than that! And it isn’t even getting to meet other fellow microfiction writers! I mean, building a community is what we are obviously doin’ ‘ere so that’s not a big deal in my book. No, what makes being in our MicroZine (Digital Edition) monthly issues so damn cool is what happens 4 times a year.
Lean in and let me drop this on your lap!
Every quarter (that’s January, April, July, October) we will release a PRINT edition! Now, we aren’t yet at the level of printing it ourselves and shipping it to you in the mail, though we hope to be someday. Instead, we will send you a PDF that will be a “build-it-yourself” print issue of the magazine.
The stories we feature in our PRINT MicroZine will ONLY come from our digital issues! You get what I’m tellin’ ya? In order to be in one you gotta get into the other!
So what are you waiting for? Stop reading this damn email and go write a damn microfiction story. Click the button below and send us your story! Go! Do it now!
Is there any particular subject you’re looking for?
Third bullet point in the Google Form:
While we accept any and all genres, we reserve the right to deny any story that is extreme in violence or content.
At this time there are no set “themes” though that will be introduced in the new year. What you write is up to you.
Thank you very much!
I reposted your post along with my three stories and tagged writers I admire, hoping they’ll join in on the challenge.
This sounds absolutely great! Well done for getting something like this set up. I’d love to get involved and will try to submit something soon. Good luck with it all… 😎
