EricaDraytonKeymasterWith the ending of NaNoWriMo a great space has opened up in the month of November that many of us have come to know as a month of great storytelling. And while I had not used the services that NaNoWriMo provided, controversy aside, attention must be made to the value it brought to many. The biggest among them being the daily writing. Whether it be via prompts or sprints or words of motivation and encouragement. For 30 days millions of people across the world would write their little hearts out!
Now, at TiF Press we may not number in hundreds of thousands (yet) but by gosh we has aspirations! And until then, we’ve started this teeny-tiny forum in the hopes of inciting and encouraging words to be written this November! So, if you’re looking for a safe space to “just write” then sign-up and let’s see what we can do together!
So, take this time before November 1st to introduce yourself to the community:
What’s your Substack Profile username? (no real names unless you’re ok with sharing that, and if so, ONLY first names, please)
What PROJECT will you be working on for 30 days in November?
Do you plan on completing the journey of 50,000 words?I can’t wait to meet you all!

KatharineParticipantHi all! My Substack is ‘Notes from the Edge’ and the project I’ll be working on is very imaginatively entitled ‘WIP’ because I’m crap at thinking of titles. It’s a novel (possibly a trilogy) which involves a lot of research as it follows real historical events in the 8th-10th centuries – with a supernatural twist, of course, because I can’t keep the fantasy out of my fiction! I’m still mulling over my goal for this challenge. Who’s going for the 50k?

graemesatlasParticipantHey,
My substack is called Graemes Atlas. I am keen to keep on building a consistent routine. Unfortunately life is rather busy, so I will be amazed if I actually make it to 50k words, but I will try and do a page or two a day and see where it takes me. Im torn between two projects currently, my current serial (the probable), and a cosy historical novel I want to write that is, as of yet, untitled. Set in 1919-1920 in rural dorset, england.

brookebsolomonParticipantplaying some retrospective catch-up and saying hi!
My Substack is currently just my name (@brookebsolomon), and I’m a screenwriter very new to the prose community! But books have been a huge part of my life for my whole life, and this is the November that I’m doing something about it.
I’m using November to draft my debut, a sapphic Hollywood-set mystery novel. I’m technically aiming for 70K for the month so I can have a completed draft, but we will see if I can actually measure up to that. Excited to be here!

KatharineParticipantHi! How is everyone doing after a week? I think I’ve (shamefully) written about 5k words of new scenes, as well as tinkering with some existing material. TBH, writing isn’t a problem for me, it’s just finding the time to do it! I don’t expect to hit 50k words, but I’m doing this challenge more for the community. I don’t know any writers IRL, and I like feeling as if I’m writing along with other people. Good luck to the others taking part. How are your WIPs progressing?
